Patrick Cudahy Day is making its return to the fair on Friday, August 12. Cooking demonstrations, live music, giveaways, a recipe contest and celebrity cooking competition will highlight a day full of sweet apple-wood smoked, bacon-loving excitement. All of the activities will take place inside the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds at Central Park from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm.

The Patrick Cudahy tent will be set up in Central Park on August 12, where fairgoers can stop by for the ever-popular bacon hats, prizes, coupons, recipe cards and product samples until 1:30 pm, while supplies last. Everyone who stops by the tent can capture their memories in the “Say Hey to Patrick Cudahy” photo booth. Then at 2:30 pm, fairgoers can give the famous Patrick Cudahy prize wheel a spin.
Patrick Cudahy will also have plenty of entertainment on the Central Park stage. The Patrick Cudahy Barbershop Quartet will be singing their sweet harmonies throughout the day and Chef Mike Wales will take center stage for live cooking demonstrations, featuring innovative recipes that highlight Patrick Cudahy’s bacon, deli meats and cheeses.
New for 2016, Patrick Cudahy will crown the winner of the celebrity cooking competition. Teams will be instructed to create three recipes using Patrick Cudahy Sweet Apple-Wood Smoked bacon, meats and cheeses. The winning team will receive FREE Patrick Cudahy Bacon and Ham for one year. Come see some of Wisconsin’s favorite personalities take center stage beginning at 1:30 pm.
The “Bakin’ Divine Bacon Desserts!” recipe contest, sponsored by Patrick Cudahy, is also making a debut this year. Four finalists will showcase recipes featuring Patrick Cudahy bacon that would be perfect for a dessert at a picnic, party or family get-together. The winner will be announced from center stage on Patrick Cudahy Day at 11:45 am and receive free bacon for a year and a $250 cash prize.
