Monday, September 28, ARA Senior Vice President Joseph Smith PSP, Staff Scientist Alec Thurman, and Senior Engineer Kenneth Herrle CPP will give an advanced presentation titled “Evaluating the Nuclear Threat.” The team will discuss the need for emergency response planners to understand the differences between nuclear and conventional explosives and the corresponding security and response efforts.
On Tuesday, September 29, ARA Vice President Nancy Renfroe PSP, Risk Management Director Daniel Renfroe PSP, and Security Engineering Director James Brokaw PE will lead a presentation titled “Ballistic Protection Issues, an Engineers Perspective.” The presentation will delve into the protective role of commercial building materials in active shooter incidents.
