Keanu Reeves and Ana De Armas to Star in Gee Malik Linton’s Dramatic Thriller “Daughter Of God”
September 9, 2014 / Mass Hysteria Entertainment Company, Inc. (OTC:MHYS)(PINKSHEETS:MHYS) Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas will star in Gee Malik Linton’s dramatic thriller DAUGHTER OF GOD, it was announced today by Fortitude International. Linton wrote the script and is directing the project, which is scheduled to commence principal photography in November. Fortitude represents international rights and company principal Nadine de Barros has kicked-off sales at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.
Reeves, Linton, and Robin Gurland are producing the picture, with Cassian Elwes and Daniel Grodnik serving as executive producers. CAA and Elwes are co-repping domestic rights. Grodnik is co-financing the project.
Logline: After witnessing a miracle, a young Latina woman (de Armas) experiences strange things as a police detective (Reeves) searches for the truth behind his partner’s death.
Elwes commented, “It’s a thrill for me to work on such an exciting project with Keanu, our fourth movie together. Our latest film, Eli Roth’s ‘KNOCK KNOCK ‘co-stars a bright new talent in Ana de Armas and we are thrilled she has agreed to play the lead in DAUGHTER OF GOD. It was Gee’s amazing script that won us all over.”

Fortitude International, the sales and financing venture launched earlier this year by de Barros, Robert Ogden Barnum, and Daniel Wagner, is currently handling sales on THE END OF THE TOUR starring Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segal, directed by James Ponsoldt.
Gee Malik Linton is also the writer of the upcoming Solaris Entertainment production THE SEVENTH SWORDS, a martial arts, Hong Kong, crime saga, being directed by Chuck Russell and Yuen Woo Ping, and produced by Greg O’Connor and Sid Ganis.
Robin Gurland started her career as casting director working with Francis Ford Coppola’s Commercial Pictures. In 1995, Gurland joined Lucasfilm and worked with George Lucas as the casting director for STAR WARS EPISODE I and STAR WARS EPISODE II.
