Biopack Environmental Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: BPAC) has been in the environmentally sound packaging business since 1995.
Biopack is taking on South America and why not? This is a match made in heaven. Brazil is the world’s largest producer of sugarcane, and its related waste by-product called “Bagasse” which is the source of Biopack’s products, but has few manufacturers of packaging products using this ingredient. Brazil uses most of this waste as an energy source by burning it. No more. Enter BioPack.
This Is Brilliant
Biopack’s products are produced from agricultural waste which includes bagasse, straw, wheat stalk, reed, and bamboo.
Biopack’s products are made from natural, renewable materials that would otherwise be considered waste. The raw materials used leave a small environmental footprint and they regenerate very quickly and abundantly in nature.
Unlike bioplastic products made from corn starch or paper, which may drive up the prices of these commodities and encourage deforestation, Biopack’s products are truly environmentally and socially conscious.
What is bagasse?
Bagasse is the agricultural waste that remains after sugar cane stalks are processed for their juices. Up until a few years ago, sugar mills had to pay to have this excess “bio-waste” removed and disposed of.
Biopack’s products are 100 percent biodegradable and compostable. Biodegradability refers to the capability of being decomposed by biological agents such as microorganisms, plants, and animals. Compostability refers to the capability of undergoing biological decomposition in a compost site (such as an industrial or home compost) so that the material breaks down into carbon dioxide, water, inorganic compounds, and biomass at a rate consistent with known compostable materials.
In addition to being environmentally friendly, Biopack’s products are of the highest quality in the industry, as measured by its technical and hygienic standards. Biopack offers a wide range of products in different categories, applications, sizes, and shapes. In addition to its broad range of existing products, Biopack is dedicated to developing new, innovative ways to meet its clients’ packaging needs.
