The pre-order numbers are incredible on the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.  While the iPhone 5 did over two million pre-orders in its first 24 hours back two years ago, the first full day of sales for the two new versions of the iPhone family yielded a hefty four million orders.  Below is the official PR:  Apple Announces Record Pre-orders for iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus Top Four Million in First 24 Hours Available in More Than 20 Additional Countries on Friday, September 26 Apple® today announced a record number of first day pre-orders of iPhone® 6

The Surface is just another Zune most likely, while Apple dominates

Almost anyone that trades stocks online or does something related to the stock market to make a living full time is into the latest gadgetry and mobile electronic devices. Everyone I know that works for themselves full time has the usual old style desktop, a laptop, a current iPad, a couple of Android pads that didn’t quite workout, and either an iPhone or a high end Android. On top of what they own individually, their spouse has the same line-up of devices as well. Their kids all have laptops, iPads, iPhones, ands various game consoles – usually more than one.

July 5th We Gave You “Five Reasons Apple is ‘The’ Tech Stock to Buy Now,” And it’s Up $85 and 20%

I will admit that every time I see others pick Apple Inc. (AAPL), I kind of laugh. We all see some people pick the same five tech stocks over and over (then over and over again). That really means they do not understand the tech sector and are really just picking the stocks that they really like. I rarely mention Apple. That said, I saw everything coming together for a huge gain on Apple on July 5, 2013. I put this out: What’s happened since the pick? Our pick issued pre-market on July 5, 2013. It closed on July 3rd at

Five Reasons Apple is The Tech Stock to Buy Now

Issued: July 5, 2013. Up 20% and $85 since this was published. Let me start by saying I am a lover of tech stocks and the great products they produce. I am not a fan of the wars between Apple, Samsung, Google and the like. I use the Galaxy S3 (Verizon), a 2010 Mac Pro, a 2012 Mac Air and an iPad Mini (which my sons now claim as theirs). I have some older Apple iPhones in drawers out of use and I even have a Samsung Tab 2 basically out of use also in a drawer. I also use

Finally Happened, Google Bought Waze

For those of us who use Waze many times a week, the idea that Waze could fall into the hands of Apple or Microsoft was terrifying. Okay, not terrifying.  Maybe irritating is a better word to use. Apple would have ate it up and used it inside of iOS devises only (eventually) and that would have been it for the Waze we all know and love. Microsoft – who knows what they would have done with it?  Perhaps they would have made it an integral part of Windows latest mobile attempt. That would be like killing Waze on day one.

What Should Come from WWDC 2013?

Okay, I realize that many of you have no idea what WWDC 2013 is. It’s Apple’s big developer conference. While we are told (through rumors) that Apple will not be announcing the next great iPhone or an update to the iPad, the integration and domination of Apple on our televisions and radios is not off the table.  Then there’s all about iOS7.  I cannot wait to see that. Well, I can, actually. Still, I love seeing their innovation. Have you heard of iRadio? You should soon.  I have the AppleTV in my house and use it on rare, rare occasion. But,

The Mac Book Air Beats the Surface Without Question

I find that there are a lot of bloggers in the technology press pushing the Microsoft Surface Pro and Microsoft’s new “Windows 8” to the most extreme ends of the Earth. They simply cannot get over that Windows 8 is just strange and that nobody really likes it. They also cannot get over the fact that there is a huge marketing budget out there to push both Windows 8 and all versions of Microsoft’s Surface, and much of that money is spent on the same tech blogs. Let’s look at that budget as reported elsewhere: Microsoft has already announced its

StockGuru Short Opportunity: Research In Motion Limited (RIMM)

Let me say this, I may or may not take a position personally shorting or buying puts on Research In Motion (RIMM) today or in future days. There is no way any trade I do, long or short, could ever have a market changing impact on RIMM as it trades so much dollar volume. However, you do need to know up front I am likely to come in soon on this one, and it will likely be options that benefit from a downward movement in price. Let’s talk about why I see RIMM moving down: All of RIMM’s hopes and

Number One Laptop Selling on Amazon does NOT run Windows or Mac

Here is an amazing article about the sales at Amazon of the Chromebook.  The top selling laptop on Amazon is none other than a Samsung laptop with the Chrome operating system. Get this: The demand is so great that Amazon can command more than the list price. List is $250. Selling price is $317. Please Don’t Let Apple Acquire Waze!

Do you know of Waze?  If you are a user, you love it. Let me tell you what Waze is and why it is so important to keep it away from Apple. Waze seems silly at first. I installed it on an old iPhone in years past very early, then I put it on Androids the past couple of years.  I use a Galaxy S3 from Verizon, and have really only learned how important Waze is in the past six months. Waze is a combination navigation system and a social driving network. I thought it was kind of stupid at first as

Apple Store Robbed in Paris, Samsung Possible Suspect

Okay, maybe Samsung is not a suspect in the Apple Store robbery in Paris, but people are dying for the iPhones as thieves are killing for their phones.  How is it that someone can rob, murder and steal iPhones and then activate them?  Each has a unique identifier when it is powered up. How can someone steal one and then be allowed to activate it? Just asking.

Regarding APPL: Tech Crunch Says You “an Idiot” if you Sold – I say they are Wrong

I realize challenging TechCrunch on an opinion regarding a tech stock is not exactly allowed by their perception, but they are WRONG on AAPL. Look at the five year chart: A correction is called for on a technical basis. Many people will play the correction, brought on by moderately bad news. Yes, they finally missed some projections. That is the first time in years. Still they are premarket at or above $400. We all know the numbers they missed will be easily made up for in recent iPhone 4S sales through then end of the year. Look at volume. Of
