Renovation comes at a great time during the growth of ATL Airport and the new Gateway Center at College Park
ATLANTA, Dec. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway proudly ushers in a new look with the recent multi-million dollar renovation to the ATL Airport hotel. The redesigned hotel offers a completely transformed guest experience, including all-new guest rooms, meeting spaces, a lounge, lobby, and a brand-new fitness center featuring cardio and strength training equipment.
The timing of the renovation is perfect as it completes the recent redesigns and additions of the Marriott portfolio in the Gateway Center. The SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway finished a total hotel remodel earlier this year and the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel is less than two years old. “We are excited about the the rapid growth & modernization in this area, including the development of the arena,” said Ali Ndao, Director of Hotel Operations. “Guests will have a new experience in 2019 from the stylish hotel ambiance to the activities they enjoy.”
The Marriott Gateway newly-renovated rooms and suites feature modern décor, custom designed furniture pieces, new mattresses, tub to shower conversions, additional in-room USB ports and 55” HDTVs. A calm color palette of natural hues helps ease the stress of travel.
The renovated hotel lobby features freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, a brand-new 400-square-foot market built for convenience, grab & go food items, and last-minute necessities. All-new meeting spaces feature the latest in audiovisual and presentation services, along with a dedicated planning team for putting together inspiring events.
The hotel is located just steps from Atlanta’s new arena, Gateway Center @ College Park, which is part of the Georgia International Convention Center near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The new multipurpose arena is designed as a sports and entertainment hub, projected to bring significant economic impact to the area, and is set to be the home of the Atlanta Hawks G-League team.
Part of the massive airport renovation includes the development of the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC), offering two independent facilities for domestic and international passengers as well as seven gate concourses. The hotel is located just two minutes from the terminal via ATL’s SkyTrain, making arrival and departure easy and seamless.
