Over the last three years, the organization has funded over $1.2M and facilitated $18M in investments in TIE companies including TIE Global Alliance investments
Denver, Aug. 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TiE Rockies, the Colorado chapter of TiE Global, a nonprofit venture devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries, at all stages, from ideation to exit, today announced that the organization surpassed $18 million in funding over the past three years, including $1.25 million in direct funding during the last year.
“At TiE Rockies, our focus is on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs in Colorado and throughout the Rocky Mountain region,” said Patrice Barber, TiE Rockies president. “We’ve worked to develop strong relationships with our members, investors and strategic partners, allowing startups to quickly and easily close their funding rounds while ensuring a greater amount of capital is being directly invested in Colorado companies.”
TiE Rockies continues to invest in promising early-stage startups throughout the state, focusing on the Denver metro area. During the last three years, 19 TiE Rockies startup companies have received $18.05 million in funding directly from TiE Rockies members or through TiE investor meetings and direct introductions to the extended TiE community.

In June, $400,000 in debt financing was provided to member company MFB Fertility in an effort backed by members of the TiE Rockies board of directors. This capital will aid the organization’s efforts to build on the “Proov Ovulation Double Check” product line, which offers the first at-home, urine-based progesterone test to allow women to easily check whether they have ovulated. TiE Rockies additionally continues to provide mentoring and advisory support for MFB Fertility and many other companies with potential throughout Colorado.
Looking forward, TiE Rockies is hosting TiE Con Northwest 2018 toward the end of August. TiE Con Northwest is a conference bringing in 40-plus speakers from China, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Vancouver, Seattle and Portland to discuss bridging marketplaces through global expansion.
