BURLINGTON, Ontario, June 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — PetSmart, Canada’s leading specialty pet retailer, today introduced Red Leaf Dog Food to its line of ‘Made in Canada’ products. Produced in Canada with locally sourced ingredients, Red Leaf offers pet parents a high quality food option with great value. The line is available in stores and will be rolled out to PetSmart.ca for online purchase in July.

“We are pleased to introduce Red Leaf Dog Food to PetSmart customers across Canada. We know that our customers want to feed their pets top quality food made with fresh and clean ingredients,” said Andrew Kretz, senior marketing manager, PetSmart Canada. “Red Leaf Dog Food has an ingredient list of locally sourced items that pet parents can be proud to feed their pet.”

Red Leaf is committed to providing products made with quality ingredients; like deboned chicken, quinoa and eggs, and features anti-oxidant rich fruits and vegetables. Healthy additions like flaxseed, chia seeds and salmon support the preservation of healthy skin and coat and prebiotics and probiotics support a healthy digestive system. Red Leaf does not use corn, wheat or soy products.

Available in a variety of flavours inspired by Canadian cuisine, Red Leaf’s products span wet food, dry food and treats. Canadian pet parents can choose from Paté with Canadian Country Pork, Cobb Chicken with Pearl Barley & Sweet Potato and bark-worthy treats like Maple & Bacon and Peanut Butter & Honey.

“Our goal with the Red Leaf line was to create a dog food that would be accessible for everyone while keeping nutrition top of mind,” said Rolf Hagen Jr., president & CEO of Rolf C.
