CHICAGO, June 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — In honor of its 40th anniversary of its “birthday” June 5, NCSBN has unveiled a new logo and new branding for the organization.
Revealed in a short video, https://www.ncsbn.org/new-logo.htm, that traces the organization’s logos throughout its history, the new logo features five squares from the previous logo brought together to depict interconnectedness and then expanded to suggest a spherical shape of a globe. The square elements combined form a pattern signifying collaboration between member boards, and national and international peer organizations. The linear space between the elements connects them together creating a networking web extending around the globe. The whole design conveys the expanding influence of NCSBN as an international organization that is leading regulatory excellence around the world.
In addition to this new logo, NCSBN will also debut the Global Regulatory Atlas; the release of the 2017 National Nursing Workforce Survey, in cooperation with The National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers; the launch of a new website; and the distribution of a booklet for new nurses to every newly licensed nurse in the U.S.

NCSBN marks its 40th anniversary milestone in 2018 with the inspiring theme of “Regulatory Excellence Surging Toward the Future.” Founded March 15, 1978, as an independent not-for-profit organization, NCSBN was initially created to lessen the burdens of state governments and bring together BONs to act and counsel together on matters of common interest. It has evolved into one of the leading voices of regulation across the world.
NCSBN’s membership is comprised of the BONs in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and four U.S. territories — American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and the Virgin Islands.
