Kailua Kona, HI, May 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Associa Hawaii organized a very special Mother’s Day event at the Pahoa Red Cross Shelter for evacuees of the recent Kilauea volcano eruption on the island of Hawaii (Big Island.)

The scorching lava has already destroyed dozens of homes and vehicles and damaged more than 37 structures, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their homes. The Associa Hawaii team worked with volunteers and organizations to provide a fun and meaningful event on Mother’s Day for all affected by this devastating disaster.

The incredible event was attended by more than 180 moms, 60 volunteers, countless national and local organizations, and the Associa Hawaii team, the moms were treated to a day of pampering, entertainment, food and festivities and gifted complimentary massages, essential oil gift bags, flowers and chocolates, salon services and much more. The crowd was entertained by Unity Nguyen and Band of Angels and feasted on catering sponsored by Associa Hawaii and Maulka Rotary.
