LÉVIS, Quebec, March 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Supermétal Structures Inc. (Supermétal), based in Lévis, QC is beginning to erect structural steel at the new Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre (NFEC) in Southern Ontario. The company was recently awarded this Design-Assist contract from Bird Construction Inc. based on Supermétal’s in-house design capability and past examples of adhering to tight project schedules.

The NFEC features a performance space with multiple stage configurations and provides seating for over 5,000 patrons. Additional features include a public lobby and gathering spaces, box offices, bar and concessions. The project site is located adjacent to the Fallsview Casino Resort, next to the existing Hilton Hotel.
Close to 4,000 metric tonnes of structural steel are currently in various stages of engineering and fabrication at the company’s world-class facilities in Lévis and Sherbrooke, Québec. In addition to the structural steel scope of work, Supermétal will be installing metal decking and providing the tower cranes. The company anticipates completion of this phase of the NFEC construction in late summer 2018.
