PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 17, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), the century-old, family-owned provider of construction and engineering, staffing and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world, today announced the appointment of Shelby Barbier, PMP, as Vice President of Nuclear Operations. In his new role, Mr. Barbier will be responsible for safe and cost-effective delivery of maintenance and modifications services and projects for the fleetwide nuclear contract with NextEra Energy. He will operate out of NextEra’s headquarters in Jupiter, Florida.

Mr. Barbier has more than 20 years of diverse experience in the energy industry, including nuclear maintenance and modifications, and industrial plant turnaround management. His extensive project experience includes EPUs, refinery outages, petrochemical construction and turnarounds, hydroelectric construction, EPC fossil power, and API650 tank construction.

Prior to joining D&Z, Mr. Barbier was Vice President of Construction with Williams Industrial where he had overall P&L responsibility for major projects within Global Power’s Services Division, primarily focused on fixed price and target price EPC projects within the nuclear services business line.
