Seattle, Oct. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Echo Health Ventures (EHV), a strategic collaboration between Cambia Health Solutions and Mosaic Health Solutions to invest in innovative health care services and technology companies, today announced the additions of Nanette DeTurk and Kent Marquardt to its advisory board.

DeTurk and Marquardt join Lew Trowbridge, appointed to the board in April 2017 and former President and Chief Operating Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska. The advisory board will work closely with the EHV team to build its portfolio of new investments and accelerate the growth of existing portfolio companies.
Echo Health Ventures’ New Additions to the Advisory Board:
Nanette P. DeTurk, CPA, served as Executive Vice President for Highmark Health, parent company of Highmark Inc. and the Allegheny Health Network (AHN). Highmark Inc. is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated organization, providing health insurance to nearly 5 million members. AHN includes eight hospitals, more than 2,800 affiliated physicians, as well as other integrated delivery businesses. For more than two decades, DeTurk served the enterprise and its corporate entities in key leadership positions – guiding the organization’s growth both regionally and nationally; including serving as chief financial officer for 9 years.

DeTurk holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and a MBA degree from Pennsylvania State University. DeTurk is a principal owner of 732 Clearview Advisors, LLC, providing strategic advisory services to the health care industry. She also serves as Chairperson of the board of directors of Gateway Health, a managed care organization, and HVHC, Inc., an integrated vision solutions company.
Kent Marquardt served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Premera Blue Cross. He was responsible for the Premera family of companies’ finance, actuarial, corporate informatics, underwriting, and healthcare economics departments. He also led the Innovation program and Strategic Investments and was part of the Executive Leadership Team.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin.
