Toronto, Oct. 12, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — There are countless gift options every holiday season, but few are as meaningful or as memorable as helping to reverse the decline of iconic wildlife in Canada and beyond. This year, World Wildlife Fund Canada is asking Canadians to give a gift that means the world with symbolic wildlife adoptions.

The adoptions are a great way to wow nature lovers and teach children about generosity and helping the planet. When people give a wildlife adoption, they are also supporting critical conservation work and sharing a gift that will be remembered long after the holidays are over.

New species for adoption this year include the majestic Canada lynx, emblematic Atlantic puffin, intelligent red fox, sedentary three-toed sloth and tenacious black-footed ferret. Shoppers can also choose from returning favourites such as narwhals, polar bears, reindeers, elephants, snow leopards, tigers and giant pandas. Check out our complete collection at wwf.ca/shop.
