ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 4, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Community Management Professionals, an Associa company, and Associa Supports Kids (ASK) joined the Orlando Police Department on October 3 for its National Night Out (NNO) Kickoff party. The celebration took place from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Target on Grant Street on South Orlando.

Dozens of merchants and more than 500 attendees enjoyed the festivities designed to encourage crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen law enforcement-community partnerships. Associa CMP volunteers, along with Associa Supports Kids’ loveable puppy-dog mascot Scout, took pictures, shared inspirational wristbands, coloring books, ChildPrint ID Kits and more.

Associa is a national sponsor of NNO and will participate in close to 200 celebrations across the country. Most events took place in August, but Texas and a few other venues celebrate in October.

“We’re proud supporters of local law enforcement and this city,” says Associa CMP Director of Business Development Dean Driscoll. “Orlando has seen its share of high profile events this year and that makes it all the more reason for neighbors to get out and meet one another and connect with the local officials who are so involved in the community.”

Associa Supports Kids is a value-added program for Associa community residents, designed to enhance the neighborhood community experience year-round. The program focuses on educating parents and kids about safety and fitness.  For more information on both the safety and sports sponsorships programs, visit www.associasupportskids.org.
