SAN DIEGO, Sept. 02, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that it was awarded a contract to provide helicopter aerial gunnery training for the Swedish Armed Forces at the Kratos Aircrew Training Center (KATC) in Orlando, Florida. 

Kratos’ Aircrew Training Center incorporates state-of-the-art Virtual Reality and Projection Aircrew Training Devices to train warfighters in the skills needed for mission readiness, such as aerial gunnery, search and rescue hoist training, and cargo sling operations. 

Trainees will use multiple aircrew training devices within the KATC to train on techniques and procedures in basic firing, scanning, situational awareness, crew coordination, target acquisition, and rescue hoist and cargo sling operations in various all-weather environments.
