NEW YORK, Nov. 04, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HC2 Holdings, Inc. (“HC2” or the “Company”) (NYSE MKT:HCHC) today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 7,350,000 newly issued shares of the Company’s common stock at a price to the public of $7.00 per share. The gross proceeds from the offering are expected to be approximately $51,450,000, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and fees and offering expenses payable by the Company. All of the shares are being sold by the Company. The offering is expected to close on or about November 9, 2015, subject to customary closing conditions. In addition, the Company has granted the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,102,500 shares of its common stock at the public offering price, less the underwriting discounts and commissions.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to finance investments in existing subsidiaries and operations, potential acquisitions, including all or a portion of the consideration for its pending insurance company acquisitions, development and redevelopment activities, debt repayments, the repurchase or redemption of preferred stock and for other general corporate purposes.

Jefferies LLC acted as sole book-running manager for the offering.
