STAMFORD, Conn., Nov. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SoldierStrong (previously known as SoldierSocks), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing advanced medical technologies to veterans, announced today that it will honor notable supporters at its Annual Awards Gala, scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at The New York Yacht Club in New York, NY. To recognize their work advancing available care to injured veterans, SoldierStrong will present Commitment to Service Awards to Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, a former U.S. Army Ranger and current mentor for military veterans transitioning to civilian life, and Elvis Duran, of Z100 radio station’s Elvis Duran & The Morning Show. The Corporate Leadership Award will be presented to global entertainment company WWE®.
