PHOENIX, AZ, Oct. 26, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Edgewater Networks is pleased to announce “The Intelligent Edge,” a cost effective deployment model for Hosted PBX and SIP Trunking. The Intelligent Edge features the company’s EdgeMarc, physical and virtual enterprise session border controllers (ESBCs), EdgeView Services Management Platform, and the QuickConnect Interoperability Lab. Intelligent Edge deployments offer service providers greater visibility and control at the customer edge, allowing operators to optimize HPBX and SIP Trunking deployments and remotely monitor and troubleshoot more quickly.

The Intelligent Edge can reduce or eliminate the truck rolls and excessive operational costs that drive down margins for IP Communications services. After turning up services, The Intelligent Edge provides unprecedented levels of visibility into and control over the customer’s LAN and WAN connections so that most common service issues can be diagnosed and remediated without an onsite technician. The Intelligent Edge monitors all customer sites while collecting data for long term trend reporting and analytics.

For SIP Trunking services, the QuickConnect component of the Intelligent Edge provides ongoing interoperability testing for leading IP PBXs to ensure that Edgewater products operate seamlessly in customer environments.

“With so many companies transitioning to a Hosted PBX, service providers will need a streamlined approach for on-boarding and managing customers if they want to quickly capture market share,” said Dave Norman, CEO of Edgewater Networks. “By addressing these issues now through the use of the Intelligent Edge in their delivery environment, service providers gain a more flexible, scalable infrastructure optimized for the remote management of customers.”

At the BroadSoft Connections conference, Edgewater Networks will demonstrate how the three components of The Intelligent Edge are delivered in the BroadSoft ecosystem. Demonstrations are available throughout the conference during open exhibition hours.

“Edgewater Networks shares our commitment to bringing innovative solutions to market that enable individuals and teams to create, collaborate and be productive in ways never before imagined,” said Taher Behbehani, CMO, BroadSoft. “We are thrilled that Edgewater Networks has chosen to participate as a Platinum sponsor at Connections, and to join us as we collectively define the future of work.”
