This is also a reason why generic peptide drugs retain over 70% to 80% of the branded drug’s price. Due to such high price of generic drugs, peptide therapeutics market is expected to grow rapidly post approval of generic versions. Generic leuprolide is marketed under brand names Enantone, Eligard, and Lupron; of which Enantone and Lupron recorded sales of more than USD 800 million globally.
