ROWLETT, Texas, Oct. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Last night Associa and Associa Supports Kids partnered with National Night Out (NNO) to create safer communities across the country and set a new company record for the number of events participated in this year.
National Night Out is an annual event that took place October 6 across the state of Texas and back on August 4 for the rest of the nation. Now in its 34th year, NNO has brought awareness to crime and drug prevention by encouraging stronger relationships among neighbors, communities and local law enforcement. Associa Supports Kids has been a national sponsor for the last four years.
This year Associa was officially involved in 87 events throughout Texas and 166 overall events across the country. The Associa Supports Kids mascot, Scout, made appearances Tuesday night at multiple gatherings to show his support for drug and crime free communities. In addition, dozens of Associa employees spent the evening handing out items such as child ID kits, temporary tattoos, stuffed animals, Scout Safety Tip coloring books and other Associa Supports Kids items.
