The Veterans Airlift Command (VAC) provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes. For many wounded warriors, flying in private aircraft, rather than commercial planes, is the best way to accommodate their unique needs.

Smith, the Chattanooga hometown hero, lost both legs in his first tour to Afghanistan and Mullee lost his right leg and a portion of his left calf within three weeks of deployment. Smith and Mullee met Morris at Walter Reed while undergoing rehab.

Window World of Chattanooga continuously seeks opportunities to give to local organizations. Through Window World’s charitable arm, Window World Cares®, Window World of Chattanooga supports the families of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. And most recently, the team provided a generous donation to the “Nooga Strong Parade” honoring the deceased and supporting families affected by the shooting at the military recruiting and reserve center.

“Our community experienced firsthand the dedication and devotion our nation’s military gives our country,” said Kim Anderson, Window World of Chattanooga owner. “We are honored to be able to help in this small way!”
