NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine, Sept. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Iberdrola USA Foundation and Central Maine Power are pleased to report that Jeremiah Henderson received its 2015 Pioneer Scholar Award during the Senator George J Mitchell Scholarship Research Institute Gala held in Portland on September 18, 2015.

The Mitchell Institute awards a scholarship each year to a graduating senior from every public high school in Maine. “The Mitchell Scholarship is the most meaningful accomplishment of my life, and I am honored to have the support of The Iberdrola USA Foundation for this endeavor,” said Senator Mitchell.
Jeramiah Henderson, a 2012 graduate from Foxcroft Academy and Mitchell Scholar, is currently a senior at the University of Maine. “I am very honored to receive the Iberdrola USA/Central Maine Power Pioneer Scholar award for pursuing the field of Mechanical Engineering Technology,” said Henderson. “I look forward to contributing and using my skills to improve current technologies in my field.”
