WASHINGTON, Sept. 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) has announced Alex López Negrete and Marc Rodriguez as the Hispanic Business Enterprise (HBE) chairs for the organization’s National Convention taking place on September 20-22 in Houston, Texas.

The USHCC National Convention is the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America. This premier event affords excellent opportunities for all participants to build and strengthen meaningful partnerships across the Hispanic business community. Thousands of top corporate executives, successful business owners, entrepreneurs, chamber leaders and national political figures will join the USHCC to celebrate America’s burgeoning Hispanic enterprises.

“We are honored to have Alex López Negrete and Marc Rodriguez serving as this year’s National Convention HBE chairs. Our HBE chairs embody the very spirit of American entrepreneurship,” said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. “Alex’s exceptional work as the founder of one of the nation’s most iconic advertising agencies has made him the pride of the Hispanic community. Likewise, Marc has been a role model to us all, building one of the most respected and sought-after lobbying firms specializing in the water, energy, and entertainment sectors. We couldn’t be more grateful to have the guidance and support of these two exceptional businessmen.”

Alex López Negrete is the founder of Lopez Negrete Communications, the largest independently owned Hispanic advertising and communications firm in the country. Today, Lopez Negrete Communications boasts a client roster of some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Verizon, Walmart, Bank of America, Chrysler, and Southern California Edison.

“This is, by any measure, the most important business event in America – for Hispanic enterprise is central to business in our country. As such, to be a part of it, especially representing Hispanic Business Enterprise, is not something I take lightly and makes me very proud,” said Alex Lopez Negrete. “I am truly honored to be HBE Chair alongside my friend Marc Rodriguez and grateful to our President & CEO Javier Palomarez for this opportunity to be of service. And as my company celebrates its 30th anniversary as an independent, Hispanic-owned and Hispanic-operated enterprise, I can personally testify to the positive impact the work the USHCC has had upon it.”

Marc Rodriguez owns a prominent government relations consulting firm, with clients including Apple Computer; City of San Antonio; CPS Energy; Oracle; La Mantia Family and his most recent client, El Rey Network. He is the former Chairman of the Board of the USHCC.

“It is an honor to remain associated with this hard working organization and be part of an historic event in Houston, Texas,” said Marc Rodriguez. “There is still so much more to do and I remain committed to Javier Palomarez and the USHCC board.”
