Savannah GA, Sept. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Savannah Hyundai is excited to once again be a corporate sponsor of Savannah Pride. The festival is in its 15th year of celebration and welcomes over 8,000 people annually. “We love the diversity in the city of Savannah and are honored to be a part of the celebration again this year,” says Mark Medinger, owner of Savannah Hyundai.
This is Savannah Hyundai’s 4th year of involvement at Savannah Pride. This year they have stepped up to Gold Level business partnership. “We have enjoyed our past involvement at the festival and are happy to continue our support of Savannah Pride,” said Mark Medinger.
According to the Savannah Pride website, Savannah Pride’s mission is one of “unity through diversity, and social awareness [that] has helped promote the well-being of the LGBT community in the South.” The weeklong celebration begins with the “Come As You Are” exhibition at the Jepson Center on September 8th. The exhibition celebrates and explores the alternative culture of the 1990s with a gallery viewing and reception. On September 10th the Savannah Pride White Party gets underway at The Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. There will be live music and a silent auction. Last year, Savannah Hyundai had the new 2015 Hyundai Genesis on display at the White Party and will participate again this year. “Where better to show off a luxury vehicle like the Genesis?” commented Medinger.
The celebration culminates at Forsyth Park for an all day festival on Saturday, September 12th. Activities include Live Music and performances, food vendors, tradeshow booths, VIP tent, and family area with face painting, bounce house, and craft tables. The festival runs from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
