USHCC Commends Telemundo and Boehringer Ingelheim for Elevating Awareness of Diabetes

WASHINGTON, Sept. 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) applauds Telemundo and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals for collaborating on the primetime telenovela “Bajo el Mismo Cielo.” The storyline raises awareness about Type 2 Diabetes among Hispanic viewers as part of Telemundo’s Prevenir es Vivir (Prevention is Life) health and wellness campaign.

“Bajo el Mismo Cielo” follows the story of an immigrant father struggling to achieve a better future for his family. Boehringer Ingelheim is sponsoring the storyline’s integration of Andrés Cabrera, a character suffering from Type 2 Diabetes, as well as a custom vignette airing alongside the show.
