BOSTON, Sept. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) is excited to announce its first AWARE for All event in Queens, New York City on October 3, 2015. This free program is designed to improve understanding about clinical research participation and promote dialogue by connecting patients, researchers, and members of the general public in the local community.
The event will be hosted at St. John’s University, D’Angelo Center on Saturday, October 3, from 11AM to 2PM in collaboration with The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, the research enterprise of the North Shore-LIJ Health System. This program will feature free health screenings, informational exhibits, meaningful presentations from prominent New York medical professionals and researchers about various health conditions, and local patients involved in clinical research, as well as refreshments and prizes. Funding for this event is provided by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) New York Metropolitan Chapter, ACRP Global, Biomedical Research Alliance of New York (BRANY), DrugDev, EMD Serono, The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, and The Lupus Research Institute.
