INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — This October the National Employment Law Institute (NELI) will host it’s annual Affirmative Action program series, hosted by Program Chair John C. Fox, Esq. of Fox, Wang & Morgan, P.C., and fellow faculty members Brian W. Bulger, Esq. of Cozen O’Connor, Candee J. Chambers, SPHR, Sr. CAAP of DirectEmployers Association, Rosemarie Falcone, Esq. of Entergy Corporation, Joan E. Moore, J.D., SPHR of The Arbor Consulting Group, Inc. and Patricia Shiu, Esq. of the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). The four-city Affirmative Action program series will begin in San Francisco on October 7, 2015 and finish in Chicago the last week of October.

“I am delighted Candee will again be able to join us for both the Affirmative Action Workshops and Briefings, and to do so nationwide,” said Program Chair John C. Fox. “Candee’s relaxed, conversational and interactive style was very well received last year and amplified her practical human resources and OFCCP compliance experience gained from successfully defending over 100 OFCCP Compliance Reviews over the last 20 years,” said Fox. “What Candee brings to the party is the ability to connect the technical and legal OFCCP compliance requirements with the “been there-done that” real world of HR so attendees have a practical range of options to tackle their compliance challenges after they leave the seminar.”

NELI’s Affirmative Action Briefing is the oldest ongoing affirmative action educational seminar in the country and is considered the definitive “last word” on OFCCP compliance matters. This year’s Affirmative Action program series has been revised and updated to address many developments affecting federal contractors, including the refocused priorities being implemented by the OFCCP and their Director, Patricia Shiu. This program series will kick off in each city with a one-day Affirmative Action Workshop designed to explain why federal contractors are subject to OFCCP authority and what goes into an affirmative action plan, as well as a summary of an affirmative action audit process. The two-day Affirmative Action Briefing immediately and seamlessly follows the Workshop and offers advanced level, practical guidance on what federal contractors must do to be compliant with the wealth of new OFCCP requirements. This Workshop will discuss how to respond to new-style OFCCP audit strategies, including added emphasis on preparing for ever-changing compensation investigations.
