Today we are picking Vega Biofuels, Inc. (VGPR) as our StockGuru Spotlight for Monday, November 19, 2012.
Our Rationale & Strategy:
First, this is a sub-penny quick play. We are doing this strictly on the buzz we are hearing promotionally, and in what we see as a trading day opportunity.

Third: As a technical play rather than a fundamental play, you are looking for a quick price increase before letting shares go. You need to pay attention to the chart and make sure you buy at or near the lowest price in the last few weeks. Paying more than .0008 would be foolish.

Important: This is not one to buy a lot of VGPR. If you do, you could see those shares go to near zero due to a lack of liquidity. This is more of an entertainment play. A few hundred or a couple of thousand dollars is probably okay. More than that and you would personally drive the price to zero when you sell.
About Vega Biofuels:
From their web site: Vega Biofuels, Inc. is in the process of building a manufacturing plant that when finished will manufacture biocoal from timber waste using unique technology called torrefaction. Torrefaction is the treatment of biomass at high temperatures (475°F – 575°F) under low oxygen conditions. The plant will convert timber waste into thermally treated biomass powder that is then turned into briquettes known as “bio-coal” for shipment to the end user. Existing coal-fired power plants can utilize the bio-coal without making any changes to their current infrastructure.
