Iteris, Inc. provides intelligent transportation systems solutions primarily in the United States, Europe, and Asia. The company operates through four segments: Roadway Sensors, Vehicle Sensors, Transportation Systems, and Environmental Technology. The Roadway Sensors segment offers Vantage, Versicam, and Pico vehicle detection systems for traffic intersection control, incident detection, and highway traffic data collection applications. Its products capture and analyze video images to enable vehicle detection, and transmission of video images and data. The Vehicle Sensors segment offers lane departure warning (LDW) products, including AutoVue LDW system, as well as radar-based forward collision warning, and blind spot warning systems. The Transportation Systems segment offers transportation engineering and consulting services, which focus on the planning, design, development, and implementation of software-based systems that integrate sensors, video surveillance, computers, and advanced communications equipment. These systems enable public agencies to monitor, control, and direct traffic flow, as well as assist in the quick dispatch of emergency crews and distribute real-time information about traffic conditions. The Environmental Technology segment offers a range of customer-specific environmental and operational forecasting products and services consisting of customized route-specific surface weather, travel times, and road condition reports statewide across various states in the United States. This segment also provides maintenance decision support system management tools that provide information at the route level which enables maintenance of roads and highways. The company was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Santa Ana, California.
