GreenHunter Energy, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiary, GreenHunter Wind Energy, LLC has announced acquisition of the wind development project in Southern Wyoming on July 15, 2011 from Wind Revolution, LLC.  GreenHunter now shares ownership of the project with the Southern Ute Growth Fund, an important shareholder of GreenHunter Energy.  The company will have the majority share at 65% while 35% goes to the Southern Ute.

GreenHunter said that this agreement is the largest that they have acquired to-date.  The company has several reasons for the over-time acquisition, first is because of the attractive power pricing that the region is recently showing; then, the existence of power infrastructure nearby; and the availability of wind turbines through the company’s negotiation with several wind turbine manufacturers both domestically and overseas.  GreenHunter believes that this project will be very significant to GreenHunter’s future revenue stream.
