SAN DIEGO, Sept. 22, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MIR3®, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification (IN®) and response technology, today announced that MIR3 executive and recognized business continuity expert, Ann Pickren, is stepping into the role of company president, effective immediately. As president, Pickren will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s global operations and will report directly to Amir Moussavian, chairman and CEO of the company.

Over her time at MIR3, Pickren has used her strength in forging strategic relationships to lead many of the largest global companies in deploying mass notification, with clients that include Carnival Cruise Lines, McKesson Corp., and Goodyear Tire and Rubber among others.

In her new role, Pickren will continue to engage with MIR3 customers to help develop best practices for their enterprise notification platform needs in addition to overseeing global operations, which include sales engineering, direct and channel sales, OEM, marketing, human resources and more. She will also apply her more than 25 years of experience in the crisis communication, enterprise application and notification industries towards business development and innovation for the company.

Prior to joining MIR3 in 2011 as VP of enterprise solutions and her subsequent promotion to COO in 2014, Pickren served as executive vice president at Firestorm Solutions. Pickren is known throughout the industry for her achievements at some of the world’s leading software and technology services companies, including SunGard Availability, and Comdisco, where she spent a total of 17 years in various management roles. At Comdisco (10 years) she was focused on management roles in business continuity and software production, ultimately serving as SVP for the company’s business continuity consulting and software products. With her transition to SunGard Availability Services, she served as the SVP of for business continuity application software solutions and consulting. In previous roles, she has been responsible for business development, consulting engagement delivery and the management of professional staff.

Currently a board member of the BCI U.S. chapter, Pickren also serves as on the Executive Advisory Board for DRJ, producers of the industry-leading business continuity publication, Disaster Recovery Journal, as well as popular educational and networking events for BC/DR professionals. She was also a member of the Organizational Resilience Maturity Technical Committee within ASIS International, an organization dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests.

With an MBA from Georgia State University, Pickren’s undergraduate studies focused in math and statistics. She is active within her community as a volunteer with the Drake House, which provides short-term crisis housing, assessment, support, and empowerment to homeless mothers and their children, and she is also involved with North Fulton Community Charities.
