LANSDOWNE, Va.., Oct. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Associa companies’, Community Management Corporation (CMC), Select Community Services, and Legum & Norman, recently donated nearly a quarter of a million dollars to Associa Cares, an organization set up to benefit families across the country that are in need of assistance following a catastrophe at home such as a flood, fire or tornado.

The check for $249,800 was presented on September 26 as part of the 9th Annual Vendor Fair at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia. Close to 280 vendor participants representing 100 area companies and approximately 250 community managers were in attendance and helped contribute to the group’s record-breaking fundraising total for this event.

“This event has become bigger and bigger each year. It’s the perfect opportunity for community association vendors to present their services to hundreds of management professionals all in one place,” says Associa CMC President Nick Mazzarella. “This generous contribution brings our nine year total to more than $2 million in donations to Associa Cares.”
