DENVER, Oct. 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Digital publishing giant Playwire Media has signed video inventory management platform SpotX to manage their video ad deals across owned-and-operated (O&O) sites as well as their syndication partners.

Playwire Media, which is a digital representation firm as well as an online video platform (OVP), will employ SpotX’s ad server and programmatic infrastructure to monetize its video inventory across its portfolio, including flagship partners CinemaBlend.com, BleedingCool.com and SuperCheats.com.

One of SpotX’s key features that Playwire Media will utilize is the predictive viewability targeting tool within its ad server, which enables the publisher to pre-emptively meet the differing viewability requirements of buyers.

The feature allows publishers to evaluate historical viewability data to predict and optimize viewability scores for campaigns, and accurately filter delivery to placements that are most likely to match the advertiser’s viewability needs. Before this viewability tool was introduced to the market, publishers had to evaluate if viewability targets had been met following campaign completion and reimburse clients for impressions that did not meet requirements.

“We’re proud to sign such an innovative digital partner that works across our advanced ad server and programmatic solutions to maximize its diversified portfolio,” said Mike Laband, VP, Business Development at SpotX.

Playwire Media serves 6.5 million video ads per day, and its gaming brand, GameZone Group, boasts more than 90 million video views worldwide per month. The content owner sells ads across its O&O sites, as well as syndicating content to third-party sites via its OVP.

“With an increased focus from brands on digital video, SpotX provides the tools, transparency and flexibility necessary for our evolving video business,” Nathan Thomas, VP Network Operations at Playwire Media, said.
