ISELIN, N.J., Sept. 30, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Middlesex Water’s (Nasdaq:MSEX) Carl J. Olsen Water Treatment Plant (CJO Plant) in Edison, New Jersey has received the 2016 Partnership for Safe Water’s Fifteen Year Directors Award of Recognition. The Partnership for Safe Water is a program developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and associated Partner organizations to improve the quality of water delivered to customers by optimizing water system operations.
Middlesex Water’s CJO Plant was presented this award for successfully completing the Self-Assessment and Peer Review phase of the Partnership program and continually optimizing treatment for 15 years. The Director’s Award includes a comprehensive evaluation of treatment plant operations and performance, identification of performance limiting factors, and the development of action plans to achieve optimization.
