ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 07, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nutshell, a provider of CRM software for small business sales teams, today announced that it has been recognized by Gartner’s Capterra as a Top 20 Most User-Friendly and Top 20 Most Affordable CRM. Nutshell was selected by Capterra’s researchers following an evaluation of the nearly 500 CRM solutions listed on their software review site.

According to Capterra’s CRM Industry User Research Report (July 2015), ease of use and price are two of the three most important factors in the CRM purchase decision. Nutshell was one of the few CRM software businesses to rate in the Top 20 on both of these attributes.

Nutshell ranked #11 Most User-Friendly

“From the very beginning, we put user-friendliness first, because a CRM really becomes valuable when it’s used by the whole team,” said Andy Fowler, Nutshell founder and CTO. “For us, that means making sure sales reps and sales managers get exactly what they need and can do so very, very quickly. But it also means making sure new customers can get up and running rapidly. That’s unique: our customers don’t want an IT department, CRM admin or a consultant to get organized—most are onboarded with Nutshell in the first day.”

Capterra’s user-friendliness rankings are based on three criteria: customer service (a measure of how well a software company helps customers get set up and successful in their solution); reviews that convey how actual users feel about that product; and how easy a product is to use (as determined in direct user testing). During direct user testing, researchers measured how many seconds and clicks it took their team to complete common tasks in a CRM solution. They chose tasks that are representative of how most sales teams would use the system to obtain and manage customers.

Nutshell ranked #7 Most Affordable

“We really strive to give outbound sales teams everything they need in a CRM—and nothing they don’t. By staying laser-focused on their core needs, we’re able to provide more value, offering an affordable product with especially strong team adoption,” said Joe Malcoun, Nutshell’s CEO.

In assessing affordability, Capterra considered the available features of a system, the cost of those standard features, and what actual users said about those systems in customer reviews. Nutshell’s CRM offers all twelve of the features evaluated by the researchers, at a price that earned it one of the highest ratings for overall value.
