Patrick McGeehin, Leader of FTI Consulting’s North American Construction Solutions practice, was ranked as one of the five most highly regarded experts worldwide by the publication.

Paul Ficca*, Global Leader of the Construction Solutions Practice and Senior Managing Director – Seattle

Mr. Ficca has over 28 years of experience in litigation support, forensic accounting, cost investigations and analysis, damages calculations and risk-based advisory services in the construction industry. Mr. Ficca has served as an expert witness on litigation and commercial dispute matters related to damages assessments, including ICC arbitration and other court venues. He has also provided project management, financial and accounting advisory services, construction industry consulting and litigation support services to both public and private clients.

Patrick McGeehin*, Leader of the North American Construction Solutions Practice and Senior Managing Director Rockville

Mr. McGeehin has more than 40 years of experience consulting on construction, government contract and litigation support matters, and provides contract claims assistance and litigation support services relating to the calculation of and approach to damages. Mr. McGeehin provides expert testimony, both in deposition and trial proceedings, in the area of contract disputes and cost accounting matters in court and board forums. He is an editor and author and has been published in the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Journal, the Government Contract Costs & Pricing Handbook and in Construction Business Review.

Graham McNeill*, Leader of the Asia Pacific Construction Solutions Practice and Senior Managing Director Hong Kong

Mr. McNeill has broad experience in quantity surveying, dispute management, dispute resolution and litigation support. For the last 20 years he has worked in Asia with some of the largest blue chip employers and contractors in the construction industry in the preparation, defense, negotiation and settlement of contractual claims. Mr. McNeill has been appointed as Quantum Expert on numerous large international commissions, giving evidence in conciliations, mediations and arbitrations. He has worked across multiple sectors including power, oil and gas, infrastructure, hospitality and rail. Having worked as a PQS, contractor and consultant, Mr. McNeill is able to provide practical and strategic advice to a range of clients.

Neil Gaudion, Senior Managing Director Atlanta

Mr. Gaudion has 21 years of experience in performing delay analysis and quantifying the effects of delay, disruption and interference, and has testified in arbitration (both ICC and AAA forums), dispute review board proceedings, deposition and mediation. Over his career, Mr. Gaudion has consulted with clients on virtually every type of major construction project in the United States, South America, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East. Mr. Gaudion has also provided advice on how to avoid disputes to both owners and contractors on several large projects. In addition, Mr. Gaudion has advised clients on best practices for project controls and given seminars on practical project documentation and claims avoidance.

Tim Haynes, Leader of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Construction Solutions Practice and Senior Managing Director London

Mr. Haynes has considerable dispute resolution experience, which includes the research, preparation and assessment of claims, contract advice and independent opinions. He has been appointed as an expert witness on a number of occasions on quantum, delay and project management matters. Mr. Haynes’ procurement management experience includes the drafting of contracts and contract amendments, preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, undertaking negotiations and finishing contract awards. He has undertaken such tasks in connection with a variety of procurement methods including traditional design and construct, construction management, management contracting and turnkey contracts.

Christopher Larkin, Senior Managing Director Toronto

Mr. Larkin has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, which includes 16 years specializing in contracts and claim management in numerous countries including Canada, the UK, Malaysia, Indonesia and several countries in the Middle East. Mr. Larkin has given evidence as a delay expert witness on a number of occasions and has also acted as assistant expert witness on quantum matters. He has experience with mediation, adjudication, arbitration and major litigation proceedings. Mr. Larkin has provided such services to contractors, employers, consultants and architects, and he has worked with numerous leading international law firms. Mr. Larkin has given a number of presentations, notably on delay analysis, practical completion, liquidated damages and extensions of time.

Alastair Farr, Managing Director London

Mr. Farr has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He began his professional career with site based quantity surveying and commercial management before progressing into claims and consultancy. Mr. Farr has acted as expert witness and delivered reports on matters of both quantum and delay. He has experience working in numerous regions, including Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, the United States and the UK. He is familiar with most forms of dispute resolution procedure including arbitration, litigation, adjudication and ADR (mediation and expert determination).

Jas Cheema, Senior Director Dubai

Mr. Cheema is a quantity surveyor and has more than 16 years of construction experience. With dual qualifications in both construction and law, Mr. Cheema has gained experience working for clients, contractors and consultants. He specializes in dispute resolution and has provided expert, forensic, contractual and commercial services to a wide range of clients including insurers, international contractors, specialist subcontractors, oil/gas companies, local authorities and various consulting organizations. Mr. Cheema has been appointed as Quantum Expert on construction projects in Europe and the Middle East. He is a chartered surveyor and a member of both the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Chris Jackson, Ph.D., Senior Director Hong Kong

Mr. Jackson has deep experience as a forensic programmer in the construction industry. For the last 20 years he has worked in Asia where he undertakes analysis of contractual issues, preparation of claims and reports, claims defense and litigation and arbitration support work for a variety of clients. Mr. Jackson has given evidence under cross-examination in arbitration proceedings and he has attended courses given by the Academy of Experts on the preparation of expert’s reports, giving evidence as an expert and on the role and responsibilities of an expert witness. He has spoken on delay analysis and extension of time claims at public seminars and in-house courses.
