TORONTO, Nov. 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Having partnered with LOGiQ³ earlier this year, Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is pleased to announce that the Deposit Broker Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training course is now available on the Advocis Learning Centre. Advocis is the sole distributor of LOGiQ³’s Anti-Money Laundering training course and the Deposit Broker Annual Compliance Attestation (ACA). These are two of the three components of the A³ Solution for the Deposit Broker Distribution Channel developed by LOGiQ³ in an effort to increase compliance standards and reduce regulatory risk for Financial Institutions (FI).
As Deposit Brokers complete the AML training course they will also complete the ACA. Partnering FIs will receive reporting on their contracted brokers that complete the ACA and AML, notifying who has taken the course and the corresponding result. This is additional support in allowing them to meet the regulatory requirements in the client-name distribution channel to “know their broker.” This includes sub-brokers and employees who sell deposit products. The AML training course is approved for Institute-accredited continuing education credits.
