BLOOMINGTON, IL and AKRON, OHIO, Aug. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Beginning today, pet parents can turn to COUNTRY Financial for help in caring for and planning for all members of the family, including their pets. COUNTRY Financial, and Hartville Pet Insurance Group, one of the oldest and largest providers of pet health insurance in the U.S., have joined forces to provide assistance to pet parents.

With roughly 50 percent of U.S. households enjoying pet ownership, many families have sought a trusted partner to assist with their pet insurance needs. The COUNTRY Financial and Hartville Pet Insurance Group agreement brings two recognized and respected brands together.

“At COUNTRY Financial, we believe in offering consumers a wide variety of protection products,” said Fanette Singer, senior vice president of marketing at the COUNTRY Financial group. “With the inclusion of Hartville Pet Insurance we will be able to help families limit the risk of out-of-pocket expenses for family pets by brokering coverage for unexpected accidents and illnesses.”

Hartville Pet Insurance plans, underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company, have been around for nearly 20 years. Plans offered include injury, illness and advanced care. The insurance offered through COUNTRY Financial will include a range of plans as well as two levels of optional wellness coverage.  The plans can start at $12 per month for cats and $16 for dogs depending on breed, age, zip code and coverage selected. There are no limits to the number of claims that are covered, and customers can visit any licensed veterinarian, specialist or emergency clinic in the US and Canada and there are no network restrictions.

“A partnership like this is something we strive to achieve,” said JoAnne Novak, assistant vice president, new business development, Hartville Pet Insurance Group. “We can offer pet parents the ease of going through a company they already trust to cover these important dependents.”

“COUNTRY Financial has a mission that aligns with Hartville Pet Insurance,” said Dennis Rushovich, senior vice president, Hartville Pet Insurance Group. “We both strive for excellent service to our clients as well as a top product.”
