Dear Members:
Let’s recap SKVI. I had a lot of calls and emails. I am going to try to answer some of your questions now. First, let’s recap the trading:
52 Week High at $0.145
- Open: $0.07
- Intraday high: $0.145
- Intraday % Gain: 81% over prior day close; 107% over the open (congrats to anyone who got shares at that price!)
- Close: $0.13
- Closing % Gain: 62.5% over prior day close; 86% over the open
- 52 Week High
I think the 52 week high will be tested in the days to come. There was huge interest, and the stock moved only with our coverage and strong news of a very important product. Many eyes opened to the stock today. I am getting comments from people I have not spoken to personally in months or even years. They want shares.
TYPICAL QUESTIONS I GOT ON SKVI TODAY:
Is the product real? Can this company really bring it to market? Yes, and yes.
The company is very real. I spent a full day visiting with everyone at the company just under two weeks ago. The company has many products at market already. StopPain is a product my wife pulled out the cabinet and reminded me of the moment she saw the profile. The company deals with some of the biggest drug companies in the world. They have many products at market already. This is what they do.
They saw the need long before H1N1 was even upon us. This is a combination of critical timing and a truly great product. The product is not the outcome of days or weeks of research. This product has had several years in development. When you understand that such products have to be tested for long periods of time to make sure they do not break down or lose their effectiveness after too much shelf life you begin to learn that this DermSafe (the product) is the result of years of research and testing. They anticipated the need. They paid the price and they created the product. The timing of H1N1 is purely coincidental, and very fortunate for those that will now be able to use the product.
Is the product available in the US?
Let me just quote the latest press release directly:
“Skinvisible has been working with potential licensees for DermSafe in the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other parts of Southeast Asia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Africa and Mexico. In some countries the product requires little or no regulatory approval. In Canada DermSafe has received a drug identification number (DIN), allowing the sale of DermSafe for personal use. In the United States DermSafe requires approval by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA); the active ingredient is not listed in the FDA’s monograph for over-the-counter drugs. The FDA has opened a Pre-Investigational New Drug (Pre-IND) file for DermSafe. Skinvisible applied for an Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA for DermSafe, although it was not been granted at this time. It is Skinvisible’s intention to file an FDA submission for approval.”
As the paragraph says, it is not available here. Right now you have to look at the world as the market. First available in Canada; soon to be available in other countries. A step away from being available in the UK and throughout Europe. And the same for China.
How meaningful will this be to their company? What will the revenue mean to the bottom line? To share price? Do I have a target?
Let’s take it backwards. Yes, I have a target in my mind. I cannot really share it with you. Let me say this, my interest and holdings is strictly in restricted stock. I consult to the company so I cannot buy or sell in the open market. I think I know where this will go. But imagine a market cap of now about $11 million; then add in millions in new revenue. If that is the case, it is going to do a number on the share price.
The company is fully viable and a great investment WITHOUT DermSafe. With it, I think it is an extraordinary opportunity.
Did they buy the technology? Are they really just a marketing company that bought a great idea and timed it to meet the H1N1 market?
Absolutely not. I know we are all used to companies that pick the latest buzz word and go after a spike in share price to sell into. This company is very real. They are in Las Vegas. They have been in the same offices about a decade. They have two full time researchers on staff. One is a founder. Their products – like I said earlier – are already in use all over the world. What we have here is a very real company that has the right product at the right time. This product will protect a lot of people, and it could save lives potentially.
Feel free to write me if you have any questions. John@StockGuru.com. I can only discuss what is publicly available, but just about everything is out there.
ONE NOTE: I am on this SIX MONTHS.Several asked that today. This is not a one day or one week promo. This is a serious commitment to a company I believe in.
